Series of small steps can achieve a lot

Aladin Abdagić, of Center for Investigative Journalism, winner of the second EU Award for investigative journalism in BiH, said that the recognition is of extreme importance, in particular since it increases the chances that the stories will reach the public. It is especially valuable for topics related to non-transparency or corruption, he adds.

Stefan Mačkić, winner of the award for the best investigative story by young journalist, said that the substantially sustainable developments cannot be achieved over the short history of twenty years of constitutional and legal continuity of the country. However, as we expect it, it is easily to fall into pessimism. And I am not a pessimist, he added.

Nothing can eradicate crime and corruption but a series of small steps can achieve a lot, concludes Siniša Vukelić, winner of the first prize.
